Once you flash a new rom on your Windows Mobile device or Hard Reset it, you have to go through all the steps of setting up date which is already configured itself, copy & paste a text which isn’t necessary, to password protect your device which many of us just skip. There is also an screen alignment which requires you to tap on five spots as specified by the pointer, which is meant to calibrate your screen but it isn’t necessary either so you can bypass it. It becames an issue sometimes as when you lost your stylus, its becomes difficult for some users to tap precisly on the spots & the alignment screen just keeps on cycling the same process.

Here is a trick to bypass the alignment screen

FindMyCar runs in the background and uses the GPS to estimate where you last parked your car. The GPS is activated mainly when connected to a car charger to eliminate battery drain. Once FindMyCar succeeded in estimating your car’s position, you can click the car icon. A Google map will show up (for that an internet connection is needed). On the map you will see a red balloon indicating your car’s location and a blue balloon indicating your current location (if available).

LtBrenton over at xda wrote an app for WinMo 5 and up that will either securely encrypt the message, or decrypt it. Maybe good for those couples who both use WinMo. Uses a custom built alphanumeric text cipher to secure just about any text-related operations you can think of. Enter a message in the interface, followed by a codeword, select ’sneak’ or ‘unsneak’, and hit ‘do it’.

Answerkeys Disabler locks the touch screen of your HTC Touch Diamond when someone calls you. It does not require locking your phone in advance. Simply having the program running in the background solves the problem of accepting or rejecting calls before you got your phone out of your pockets.
