Got 576MB RAM On HTC HD2 Now Boost Its Performance

Although HTC disclosed only 448MB of RAM on HTC HD2, but it actually has 576MB of RAM which is unlocked by powerusers over at XDA. With this extra ram, performance of the device can be increased further. User g.lewarne has posted a few tips to increase the performance of HD2.

These tips are meant to run HTC Sense more smoother, improves album art scrolling in landscape mode, much smoother font rendering. Also the ever lagging opening of the Windows folder is shortened to only half a second.

He also cautioned that this is only for devices with 576MB RAM & unsuitable for 1.66 roms as will necessitate a hard reset.

Hide Or Show Files & Folders in HTC Album

By default HTC Album shows all the pictures on the device, which is not a good thing with respect to privacy. We all have our personal images of friends or family. Or we just want to opt out images of icons or other non useful stuff. Well now user dahoarty at xda has created a mort script to hide folders from HTC Album, so mortscript must be installed in order to use it. The script is very easy to use & usage has been explained by dahoarty himself at XDA. So download & hide all your personal images from HTC Album.

Give MyMobiler The Acer S200 Look

Many of us use MyMobiler on a daily basis, especially if you need to take screenshots or if you want to easily control your Device from the PC while it is connected via Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center.

Now there is an Acer S200 skin available for MyMobiler. It’s great!

All you need to do is download the zip, extract its contents to MyMobiler installation folder on PC and edit MyMobiler.ini by replacing SkinFile=defaultskin.xml with SkinFile=AcerS200\skin.xml. Dont forget to activate the skin by Running MyMobiler, Select View, then Show Skin.
