HTC is the manufacturer of various phone with Google’s Android, Microsoft Windows Mobile & Qualcomm’s Brew operating system. But have you ever wondered what does HTC runs themselves on their computers. A picture posted by msmobiles from Mobile World Congress reveals that HTC runs Apple OS on their computers.
Although HTC only disclosed 448MB of RAM on HTC HD2, but it actually has 576MB of RAM which is unlocked by powerusers over at XDA. With this extra ram, performance of the device can be increased further. User g.lewarne has posted a few tips to increase the performance of HD2.
These tips are meant to run HTC Sense more smoother, improves album art scrolling in landscape mode, much smoother font rendering. Also the ever lagging opening of the Windows folder is shortened to only half a second.
So HTC manufacture the HD2, the most powerful smartphone and Windows Phone current on the market they also produce many other high profile Windows Phones and without the company the Windows Phones would be in a far worse state than the platform currently is. HTC have also worked with Microsoft on the HTC Shift which was one of the best Ultra Mobile PCs from a few years back.
While we are waiting for HTC HD2 to arrive in USA, Boy Genius Reports that HTC is will be launching 8 handsets in the year 2010.
