VLC media player is an open source, free software media player and multimedia framework written by the VideoLAN project. VLC is a portable multimedia player, encoder, and streamer supporting many audio and video codecs and file formats. It is able to stream over networks and to transcode multimedia files and save them into various formats. More about it here.

Well now its good news for windows mobile users that version of VLC is in development. Currently there is no good multimedia player for WM other than Coreplayer(which isn’t free), TCPMP which is ancestor of coreplayer and is no longer in development, PocketTV not even good. Developers posted that the interface is not ready yet. It’ll be great for WM users if its free too like its desktop version.

I am sure all WM user base will be waiting for its release.
