Proximity sensor is an awesome little feature added to Windows Mobiles to turn off the screen when it is close to something & is mostly used for turning off the screen when you talk & the phone is close to the ear because there is no need for screen to be always on while talking & as you move the phone away from the ear the screen turns on automatically.
Till now it was only the single purpose it served but now xda user exidler has made another nifty use of the sensor by making the phone lock when it is senses proximity. Blackberry phones has this feature to lock the phone when put in a case. Now you can also lock your phone when you put it in the case.
The application is still in development & version 0.2 is out with added settings which can be changed via registry.
